里尔光机采用紫外熔融石英制成的平凹透镜,能够发散准直光束,使其像源位于虚焦点。这类透镜常用于伽利略式扩束系统中。由于其负焦距和负球面像差的特性,平凹透镜可用于补偿光学系统中其他透镜产生的像差。
里尔光机提供的这种紫外熔融石英平凹透镜,在深紫外波段展现出极高的光线透过率,并且几乎不会产生激光诱导荧光,因此尤其适用于从紫外到近红外波段的各种应用。更重要的是,与常用的N-BK7玻璃相比,紫外级熔融石英材料拥有更优异的均匀性以及更低的热膨胀系数。
