紫外熔融石英平凹柱面透镜包含一个平面和一个凹柱面,其负焦距特性使其常被用于将平行或发散的光束汇聚成线状,或调整图像的纵横比。由于紫外熔融石英在深紫外波段(例如193nm处)展现出极高的透过率,且几乎不产生激光诱导荧光,因此成为紫外到近红外波长应用的理想选择。与平凹球面透镜类似,负柱面透镜的主要区别在于其光学作用仅限于一个轴向。该系列负柱面透镜尤其适用于单轴光束扩展,满足在一维方向上对点光源进行整形的需要。例如,单个柱面透镜即可将准直激光束转换成线状光束;而一对柱面透镜则可用于图像的形状调整。为了最大限度地减少球差,在发散光束时,应将透镜的曲面朝向光源。
